Command An Army Hold Command Guide

Hold is one of the four verified troop orders and is used to keep the squad on a fixed spot. It is especially useful when defending an objective or waiting for a coordinated enemy push.

Hold ground that matters

Place the group where it can protect the capture point or a key approach, then keep ranged support behind the first contact. Holding an empty space far from the objective usually gives up more than it gains.

Break Hold only with a plan

When the threat shifts, use follow to regroup or move the line together. Avoid sending one role forward while the rest remains committed to the old position.
